Earlier this year I emailed Billy Hunter & Derek Fisher telling them that David Stern had called them some bad names. I also emailed David Stern to tell him that Billy & Derek had also called him naughty names. I did this so that there would be no NBA season and thereby eliminating the temptation to watch Blazer games instead of doing homework.

I'm glad to get this off my chest, as this is the first I've spoken about it. I would like to apologize, as I know it was a selfish move on my part, but I felt it was what I had to do.

I never gave much thought to the root of the term "stroke" but a recent lecture given by a neurologist enlightened me. It stems from the 1500's when "The stroke of God's hand" referred to what we now call just "stroke." I’ll also refer to it as a CVA, short for "CerebroVascular Accident,” in this article. Rush fans are now ruling the world -- just like nerds now repay school yard bullies with pinkslips and downsizing, Rush fans take solace in the fact that they're still enjoying real music being made and performed live while fans and supporters of lesser music coprohagically binge and purge on the excrement of pop music's ghost. I am a little young to be a part of the first and original Rush fan base. The band was originally formed in 1968, and since their self-titled album was released in 1974, they have maintained the same configuration of members: Neil Peart (percussionist and primary lyricist), Alex Lifeson (lead guitar and backup vocals) and Geddy Lee (bassist, keyboards and lead vocals.). These days, one doesn't have to have much rugged individuality  nor be willing to bare ridicule in order to testify as part of Rush-fandom -- but this wasn't always the case. If I had to guess where my love of falling asleep to background noise, whether it be music, talk radio or television it comes from listening to Blazer games on the radio (1190 KEX) and waking up with some talk show blabbing on and on. It could be the fact that our household did have the television on more often than not and when I was really young I imagine falling asleep with the TV in the background was common and who doesn't love being carried to bed? Or staying up late with visiting cousins, watching late night TV before Grandma and Grandpa had cable. And then later skate videos over and over. Later in my teen years I would listen to the Art Bell show --   Coast to Coast AM  -- a show that now seems to be lost to the "alt right" and new crop of the willingly ignorant. A distinct peculiarity of the modern age -- the ability to numb, or quiet our minds with background noise. Am I simply drowning out my own thoughts with incessant noise? Ehh -- whatever.
